Catharina Lorenz

Catharina Lorenz was born in Munich. She studied from 1986 to 1991 Industrial Design at the Accademy of Darmstadt and finished in January 1991 with a degree in Industrial Design. Subsequently she moved to London and worked for Hollington Associates. At the end of 1992 she returned to Germany and worked for Via 4 Design in Nagold. In autumn 1995 she started a 4-year-long collaboration as a senior designer at Sottsass Associati in Milan. In 2000 she opened her own design office in Milan.

She creates her design studio with Steffen Kaz in 2001. Both german designers living and working in Italy since the mid nineties. Furthermore , the designers&rsquo projects are part of the collections of companies like Zeitraum, OmniDecor®, Antonio Lupi, Sitap and Bedont. Beyond these prestigious collaborations, Catharina Lorenz and Steffen Kaz are designing, producing and commercialising their own Lorenz + Kaz branded collection.
