Colico
Born in 1920 in Varedo, Italy, as a company specialized in the production of tables and chairs, Colico Antonio grew exponentially in the postwar years to become, in the 1970’s, a leading company in the field of furniture for private and contract use. The entrance of Walter Colico into the Milanese company in 1982, marked a profound change. From its beginnings with handmade artisan work, the company started an evolutionary search for new forms and lines for the production of furniture with a high content of design, geared towards an international clientele. This was how Colico Design came to be.

Experience, tradition, and expertise come together through the research and use of technology and materials with a particular focus on environmental sustainability. Continuous research and investments guarantee for a consistent production of high quality products, able to offer innovation and function that are in perfect balance between the past and the future.

ALKI
Alki´s path started in 1981 in a small village in the northern Basque Country, in Itsasu. In a time of economic difficulties a group of five friends founded a small chair factory that we named Alki   "which means chair in Basque"  with the aim of creating jobs in a weakly industrialised region. The cooperative status was the most suitable to our values which are an essential part of our day-to-day existence. Combining ancestral tradition and modern technology, Alki now offers conviviality in a more contemporary style.

Chevalier Edition
Launched in November 2008 by Camille Chevalier alongside her brother Nicolas, managing director of Chevalier Conservation, a family-owned company since 1917, and her father Pierre, expert and advisor, Chevalier edition presents a genuine alternative to what is currently available in the world of rugs. The aim and wish of Chevalier edition is to reproduce an authentic age old tradition and technique, all rugs are hand-knotted, into a contemporary artistic expression to offer a high-quality and creative rugs range.

This new offer is a continuation of the tradition and know-how of the family firm Chevalier Conservation (since 1918) and respects the same values of  “quality, innovation and tradition”. Chevalier edition collaborates with artists and designers on their personal rug apprehension as an artistic support to design interiors. 

Candida Romero
Candida Romero, an artist to her core (she paints, sings, dances, etc.) cultivates everything that is dear to her heart with naturalness and spontaneity: fashion, music, poetry, painting, singing… When she fell under the spell of Corsica and the Couvent San Francescu d’Oletta, it was a foregone conclusion that she should choose to revive the site and after a phase of major works establish her home and studio there and then open it to others.

Candida Romero, who is at once the very embodiment of the site and the guardian of its history, explains how ‘in future, we aim to host residencies here for painters, musicians, actors and dancers…. all of them artists who will discover, in this magical venue beyond time and convention, the spirit and the space they need to be inspired. To work, recharge their batteries, gather their thoughts… and simply go on living’.
