Frédérique et Rob Whittle

Frédérique and Rob Whittle design and produce wall panels carved in natural or acrylic plaster. A graduate of the School of Fine Arts in Angers, Frédérique Whittle chooses sculpture and discovers her passion for bas relief. Rob, a Bachelor of Arts graduate in Wolverhamton, England, is a passionate sculptor and joins in this fabulous project to launch wall decorative panels. They design and design, according to the spaces and places, monochrome panels in low relief. Their pieces are unique, sometimes momumentales dimensions, according to the desire of their client. As at the time of the Decorative Arts, their panels integrate with the wall space with always a lot of elegance and according to the light.

Mart Schrijvers studied landscape design in Brus-sels, Belgium, and moved to Berlin in the mid nineties to work as a landscape architect in urban developments. In 1998 she discovered Gascony, France, and became very involved in the French ceramic-art scene. In 2003, Mart set up her own studio in the Gers’countryside. She is fascinated by arts and crafts and pottery. She learns to turn, to master the techniques of enameling, to perfect the just and repetitive gestures that require the

Mart Schrijvers studied landscape design in Brussels, Bel-gium, and moved to Berlin in the mid nineties to work as a landscape architect in urban developments. In 1998 she discovered Gascony, France, and became very involved in the French ceramic-art scene. In 2003, Mart set up her own studio in the Gers’countryside. She is fascinated by arts and crafts and pottery. She learns to turn, to master the techniques of enameling, to perfect the just and repetitive gestures that require the work of porcelain.

Her creations, which consist of dozens of petals and alveoli, impose on her the repetitive patience of the same gesture. The pieces of the Solstice series are pure scuptures that attract in their alveoli a play of light and shadow. These gestures resemble those of a gardener who understood nature, because everything goes through patience. The sculptures of Mart Schrijvers take "their place" in the world of contemporary ceramics.
