    Her  pottery is all handmade in her  downtown Boston studio! Each piece is made to order, hand-crafted on the pottery wheel then drawn and painted by her skilled artisans. Her uses a creamy white earthenware that provides a smooth white canvas for her colorful patterns.     Bec Brittain founded her studio in Brooklyn in 2011. This graduate of philosophy, architecture and parsons school imagines objects in bronze and blown glass, the forms are delicate with great graphic power. Luminaire, sculpture, hanging lamp, candlestick, jewels ... the designer has a sense of simplicity and style. The studio moved to Manhattan in 2016. Bec, who is entirely self-taught, designs and engineers all her products, which are the expressions of her own ideas, rath

    Bec Brittain

    Bec Brittain founded her studio in Brooklyn in 2011. This graduate of philosophy, architecture and parsons school imagines objects in bronze and blown glass, the forms are delicate with great graphic power. Luminaire, sculpture, hanging lamp, candlestick, jewels ... the designer has a sense of simplicity and style. The studio moved to Manhattan in 2016. Bec, who is entirely self-taught, designs and engineers all her products, which are the expressions of her own ideas, rather than being market-driven.

    All her designs are made in New York, using a variety of techniques and a network of local fabricators and artisans, and every piece is assembled by hand in the studio under Bec’s supervision. For Bec Brittain, designing lighting and products is the logical evolution of a lifelong interest in form, materials, and technology. She grew up surrounded by creative people: her mother is an artist; her father had a woodworking business; and her paternal grandparents (as well as her step-grandfather) were architects.
