Hall6 Booth N26/ O25 Alki´s path started in 1981 in a small village in the northern Basque Country, in Itsasu. In a time of economic difficulties a group of five friends founded a small chair factory that we named Alki "which means chair in Basque"  with the aim of creating jobs in a weakly industrialised region.The cooperative status was the most suitable to our values which are an essen tial part of our day-to-day existence. Combining ances tral tradition and modern technology, Alki now offers conviviality in a more contemporary style.

Edito also attaches great importance to the quality of its products. This is the mission of their designer, Isabelle Desauty, inspired by the oriental and Indian influences that have marked her journey. Influenced by cultures in which textile know-how has been passed down through the generations, she blends craftsmanship and moder nity together in her creations.

Deknudt Mirrors Hall6 Booth J83 has been producing mirrors for 3 generations. A subsidiary company de signs, produces and sells a varied collection of decora tive mirrors all over the world. In 1946 Frans Deknudt decided to make a mirror. A mirror that was more beau tiful, more innovative and of a higher quality than the one he found on the market. Seventy years later, Dek nudt Mirrors has grown and its team of 100 employees offers innovative, graphic and timeless mirrors. Son Frans Deknudt and grandson Jan Deknudt continue the company's successful history. Deknudt Mirrors creates while respecting tradition, experience and innovation.

Dominique Desimpel
Dominique Desimpel created her agency in 1997 with an open-mindedness to the world and discovery in mind. He has always loved natural textures and beautiful simplicity.  Curious about traditions on other continents, he travels in Asia and Africa and discovers the know-how and the different materials used in each country.

Dominique Desimpel wishes to offer his clients a range of choices of materials, supports, creativity and cosmo politan skills. He works with craftsmen and workers who come from more than twenty countries mastering a know-how. It is important to Dominique Desimpel that his products do not reflect a passing fashion or influ ence. The choice of materials tells a story that he wishes to integrate into his creations.
