    As every year this international event presents the newest designs, the innova tion of creations all un der the sign of beauty. This is the theme for 2020. Inventing a new design, experi menting with all kinds of harmonious shapes, shaping the right material and working on its durability, everything con verges towards the beautiful object. Beauty and sustaina bility strongly underline the ethical approach to design.  The new generations are pushing all market players to think and act in order to better protect the planet.  Crea tors, designers, brands and companies must listen to the new generations that have grown up in a time of crisis. This exhibition becomes the spokesperson for an idea of the future that combines development, innovation and sustainability.

Based in Roncq near Lille, the family business employs some passionate experts. The Catry family have been weaving Wilton carpet for over 100 years with great savoir-faire. The eponymous manufacturers have carved a niche in to the textile history of the region. Maintaining with great strength and dedication this historical weaving method.     Tomas Kral was born in 1979 in Slovakia. He lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland. He is a gra duate of the Art cantonale School Lausanne / ECAL. He has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, a Master's degree in Product Design and his MAS a diploma in Luxury Design. Tomas Kral created his studio in 2008 in Lausanne and tea ches industrial design at the ECAL in 2010.  He is passionate about materials (cork, glass and cera mics) and processes. He is a graduate of the Art can tonale School Lausanne / ECAL. He has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, a Master's degree in Product Design and his MAS a diploma in Luxury Design. Tomas Kral created his studio in 2008 in Lausanne and teaches industrial design at the ECAL in 2010. He is passionate about materials (cork, glass and ceramics) and proces ses.

    His creations always have a touch of poetry or humour and he brings innovation, simplicity and intelligence to everyday objects.  He creates for international com panies / Praxis (Hong Kong), Safilo (Italy), Nespresso (Switzerland), Christofle (France)... He has exhibited his work in several museums and galleries / The Museum of Design in Zürich, Le Mudac in Lausanne, The Aram Gal lery (London), Gallery Kreo (Paris), Helmrinderknecht (Berlin)... His work has received several prizes and awards / the Leitz Prize for Innovation and Design, the Swiss Federal Prize for Design.
