At Domani, they take pride in only working with natural materials that last. Materials that have been around for a long time, and that have a place in the future. Each piece shows the unique traces of the palms, fingers and tools that give it its shape. It is a living vessel that carries the imprint of its master – the way exquisite pottery and metal craftsmanship has done since the beginning of time.Everyday, craftsmen and women in the Chêne vert 's workshop skilfully perpetuate accurate ancestral gestures which contributed to the worldwide reputation of the Anduze vase over the years. While waiting for the park to open again, discover the splendid 300 yew topiaries of the Jardin d'Eyrignac.

A temperate climate and fertile soil where seven springs flow, there is abun dant flora and fauna, and a view of the Périgord Noir (Black Perigord) hills. This is the Eyrignac Estate, a gentle paradise where everything comes together. Nestled at the heart of this 200 hectare estate, like a jewel in a verdant setting, the unchanging gardens of Eyrignac surround the 17th century family Manor House in a theatre of plants. Here the spectacle of Nature is played out in every season.

The gardens at Eyrignac have been open to the public since 1987, after being totally reorganised in1965, and in 2004 were awarded the title ‘Jardins Remarquables’ (Out standing Gardens). You are invited to discover, virtually speaking, 300 examples of topiary including yew, box, hornbeam and ivy ; hand clipped plant sculptures, lawns, fountains, ornamental lakes, the Rose Garden, flower and vegetable gardens. There are many facets that make up the French-style Garden, the rustic gardens as well as the botanical trails of the estate. We hope to see you very soon at Eyrignac!

Hamptons Gardens by Jack Delashmet. Ed Assouline. 268p. April 2011

Celebrated for its beautiful beaches, stunning scenery, light, and abundant natural resources, the Hamptons have been attracting people to its fertile land for over 350 years. Though it is known as a glamorous playground for the rich and brilliant, this eastern tip of Long Island has also been at the epicenter of American garden design since its earliest days as a sleepy summer colony. Hamptons Gardens invites you behind the private hedges and into the picturesque landscapes that represent an array of garden philosophies and styles from the past and present—featuring the work of groundbreaking designers such as Russell Page, Edwina von Gal, Oehme van Sweden, and Miranda Brooks. From sustainable native gardens to the over-the-top, these spaces are the work of artists using the natural world as their medium to frame or disguise houses both modern and traditional. From new, minimalist gardens in Amagansett to the ambling greenery of the famed Grey Gardens, Hamptons Gardens explores the most important gardens and cultivation trends of today.
