Emilie Moutard-Martin
Her grandmother worked leather, Emilie Moutard-Martin dreamed of craftsmanship.  After five years of studies in psychology, followed by a job as a documentalist, she obtained her milliner's CAP. The discovery of the feather is for Emilie Moutard-Martin a revelation.  For three years she learns from the Master of Art Nelly Saunie. She works for the haute-couture / Jean-Paul Gaultier and the cinema / lthe feathered caps made for the film Adèle-Blanc-Sec by Luc Besson. 

In 2012, Emilie Moutard-Martin is laureate of the "Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris" in the category of beginner's art crafts. She creates her workshop, for her it's the right time.  She likes the lightness of the feather, its texture which is at the same time shiny, matt, satiny, fluffy, velvety and so soft.  She often works with ordina ry feathers from farmed game / partridge, goose, duck, pheasant, cock ...   Now a feather worker, she likes to shape feathers, notching, cutting, curling and gluing them. This long, meticulous, precise and concentrated time is like a meditative journey from which poetic me taphors escape.
