Flower holder - Flowers and flower arrangements

"Pique-fleur" is a French term translated into English as "flower frog". It refers to a small device, usually ceramic or metal, with many small pointed stitches or pins arranged in a grid or circular pattern.

The purpose of the flower picker is to keep the flower stems in place and keep them standing in a floral arrangement. The brooches or prickles of the flower picker are inserted into the flower stem, then the flower is placed in a vase or other container.

Picflowers were commonly used in floral arrangements in the 18th and 19th centuries, but are less used today
