Rice ball - Various kitchen and cooking items

The rice ball is a spherical utensil 12 to 14 cm in diameter. Made of aluminum perforated with small holes, it closes with a hook. It is specially designed to cook rice in the broth of a poultry to which it will serve as garnish.

These utensils are less common nowadays in Europe, as other methods of cooking rice and poultry have become more popular. However, some European manufacturers can still produce rice balls of this type.
