A stove insulation plate, also called a thermal plate or thermal protection plate, is a material specially designed to provide additional thermal insulation around a wood, pellet or gas stove. This plate is placed behind or on the sides of the stove to reduce heat transmission to flammable surfaces such as walls, ceiling and furniture.
