Use and cleaning: To use a mop, simply sweep it across the floor using back-and-forth or circular motions to capture dirt and dust. When mops are dirty, they can be cleaned by shaking them vigorously on the outside to remove debris, or by machine washing them according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Types of mop: There are different types of mop with different characteristics:

Cotton mops: Durable and absorbent, they are ideal for general floor cleaning.
Microfibre mops: Highly absorbent and effective at trapping dust and fine particles.
Twisted fringes: Better at collecting hair and larger debris.
Precautions: When using a mop, avoid immersing it in water or using it on moisture-sensitive surfaces such as untreated wood. Also make sure you remove any large debris from the floor before sweeping to avoid damaging or clogging the mops.
