Colefax and Fowler occupy a unique place in 20th century decorating. Founded in the early 30's Colefax and Fowler epitomised the country house look. Over the last 10 years the company has expanded through a number of strategic acquisitions. The American fabric house, Cowtan & Tout, the umbrella company for the Colefax and Fowler group in the USA; Jane Churchill fabrics and wallpapers; Larsen fabrics and most recently Manuel Canovas. The group also includes Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler, the interior decorating division and Kingcome Sofas.
