Roca

Almost 100 years of experience to become a reference company globally at the origin of its activity, Roca was producing for domestic heating cast-iron radiators in its plant in Gavà, near Barcelona. After these first radiators, the company expands its offer with the production of water heaters. In 1929, Roca enters the bathroom sector by starting the production of bathtubs. Always attentive to the social changes associated with water, the main natural resource is working with Roca, society began in 1936 to meet the challenge of the production of vitreous China bathroom. Then, in 1954, Roca launches in the production of fittings. In the 1990s, the group performs a first step towards the international expansion, based largely on the installation of lines of business and the signing of agreements with the leading local brands. In addition to the Portugal and the France, the presence of Roca began to extend to the United Kingdom, in Germany, in Italy, in Russia, in the Morocco, in Argentina, the Brazil and in China. The decisive point of the internationalization process takes place in 1999, with the acquisition of Keramik Holding Laufen Switzerland, manufacturer number four worldwide at that time. The acquisition of Laufen allows the group to strengthen its position on the strategic markets where the brand was less present, such as Eastern Europe, the Brazil and the United States. In 2005, Roca announced an ambitious strategic plan focused on the bathroom spaces, which earned him the world domination of the sector in 2006. Today, the commercial network of Roca extends over 135 countries, with 76 manufacturing facilities and more than 20,000 employees worldwide.
