Hella Jongerius

Hella Jongerius was born in the Netherlands in 1963. She studied industrial design and in 1993 graduated at the Academy of design in Eindhoven. She joined the collective of designers of Droog Design. In 1998 she also teaches industrial design at the Design Academy Eindhoven. She won several awards one of the design in Rotterdam in 2003, and the price of the designer of the year at the Paris furniture show in 2004. Some of the creations of Hella Jongerius are part of the collections of the MoMA. Hella Jongerius is working on the colors, materials and textures. His research, his thoughts and his work are constantly moving. The notion of the provisional, of the unfinished business of the infinite possible, of uncertainty are part of his thinking and give a note to his creations.
