THE FEG GROUP "Houses are built to live in, more than to look on". This saying by Francis Bacon has been the philosophy that FEG has been following in its production of furniture for fifty years. Set up by Egidio and Ambrogio Elli in 1948 as a small workshop, in the 1960s FEG became an industrial-sized company engaging in the mass production of furniture. It soon expanded to include the processing of tree trunks for producing sliced wood, thus setting up a complete production cycle internally within the company. Since 1990, FEG has been turning its attention to offering all types of home furnishings and has been working with famous designers. As a result, it has consolidated its position in the medium-to-upper segment of the market. Highly advanced technology, attention paid to the environment through the use of non-toxic materials in production, sensitivity to the constant changes occurring on the market - along with the pursuit of quality, functionality and safety - led to such great success that FEG was able to acquire Salvarani in 1996. Set up in 1939, Salvarani is the premier name in Italian kitchens and is famous all over the world. It revolutionised the market in the 1960s by introducing the first modular kitchen finished in plastic laminate and subsequently added the Firon top, which is patented throughout the world. In April 1997, FEG created the RELAXIA brand for its new collection of upholstered furniture. In July 2001, it also acquired the PPP PROSERPIO brand, a leader in the production of children's bedrooms. These four industrial concerns gave rise to the FEG Group, a new configuration of companies that offer complete furnishing projects which can meet even the most demanding requirements. In 1999, the FEG Group opened its first point of sale called COMPAGNIAdelMOBILE, the name of the Group's franchising division, which now has more than sixty franchisees in Italy and flagship stores in Paris, Brussels, Tenerife, Miami and Washington..
