    A bit of history the Museum of advertising was created, under the leadership of Geneviève Gaëtan Picon, in February 1978. The Museum stood then at 18 rue Paradis, in the 10th arrondissement in Paris. In October 1982 qu 'it is definitely named "Museum of the advertising". The Museum preserves the collection of posters from the library of UCAD. The Fund accumulated over the years by large donations, such as those of Pochet in 1901 or Braun again in 1941. On the theme of the poster, the Museum covers the history of the poster around the world from its origins to our days. The collection has approximately 40,000 posters French and foreign old covering a period from the mid-18th century to 1949 and 45,000 contemporary posters submitted by the agencies, advertisers and graphic designers. The Fund is complemented by a collection of press advertisements and 20,000 from advertising films of contemporary production.
