Roland Simmons

Roland Simmons got his start in parchment as an undergrad at Brigham Young University. After his very first assignment, his teacher allowed him to forgo future projects and focus solely on designing with paper. Years after graduating, Simmons left his industrial design job so that he could design and producing contemporary lighting out of single-faced corrugated parchment. Now located in Cowley, Wyoming, Interfold Lighting is family owned and operated by Roland's son, Todd. Roland Simmons designs and hand-cuts every single piece that leaves the factory, signing each one for authenticity and ensuring their quality. These crinkled works of art glow with warmth and provide a unique presence in both soft contemporary and modern spaces. Their simplicity impresses, and many are offered in a range of soft, subtle shapes and both bright and more natural shade colors.
