Zoe Ouvrier, Isborn in 1975 in Montpellier, France. In 2002, she graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and stayed in the capital for twenty-five years. Since November 2019, she lives and works in Saint Paul-de-Vence. Zoé Ouvrier uses the technique of engraving to restore the plywood its new nature of wood. She mixes this technique with that of painting and drawing. The bark loaded with imprints evokes the skin, life, the original matrix of which the forest and humanity are made. His work shows and touches a space between nature and texture under a three-dimensional look. Zoé Ouvrier likes to make the ensembles dialogue by staging the spectator in front of her work. From his research around the tree emanates a whole relationship to the flesh, to emotions, to the trace. This makes his work a poetic and sensitive material. It thus touches on the emotional vibration in relation to the very life that surrounds us, on our condition and our place in our environment as human beings. Its trees speak to us and move us. For more than 20 years, Zoé Ouvrier has been denouncing the imbalance of the human impact and its uprooting. All his work revolves around this sensitivity and a possible opening towards freedom. As soon as he left the Beaux-Arts, the press allowed him to gain international recognition. Some collectors commissioned imposing works for which Zoe had to intervene, for example, on the four walls of the same room, works made for bedrooms or dining rooms. She then invites the one who enters it to travel in his painting, to listen to the forest according to the seasons, the intensity of the fauna and the sound of the wind...
