Barbara Schull

Anchored in the art contemporary I am looking for a strong aesthetic where reigns a monochrome harmony. First self-taught, which left me a great freedom, I then incorporated the school of fine arts in Vallauris which allowed me to acquire a different technique of work much more organized and it is the mixture of the two resulting. Each of my pieces was born of an impulse by which I am guided, there is an idea, a need that I realized. It came to me clearly the urge to work China for all its symbolic, historical incarnations and its plastic qualities. I want to revisit this material according to my personal codes. My work is essentially based on the search for form, refined and sober all affectionately hustling tradition, where there is a balance between elegance and originality.
