Protac France

Built in 1995 on Lanjouan in Lamballe (Côtes d'Armor) area, Protac West is a second wood processing unit specialized in drying, machining and processing of the wood by autoclave. Its supply to majority softwood (pine and FIR), white and Red wooden is from Russia, Finland, Sweden and France, representing an annual volume of approximately 40 000 m3. Suitable for its production volume and allowing an optimal reactivity, PROTAC West has 2 dryers with a capacity of 100 m3. Anticipation of an effective treatment, PROTAC West uses its dryers to reduce the level of humidity of the wood, and thus maximize the quality of the treatment by autoclave. To get an effective treatment, the moisture content of the wood must be less than 25% ensuring impregnation into the heart of the wood.
