Stephan Diez

Stephan Diez grew up in a family of carpenters (4 generations) and has a passion for crafting what influenced him in his academic training. Initially he took a cabinetmaker training in the family tradition, to then study the Industrial Design under the direction of Richard Sapper at the Stuttgart Academy of fine arts. In 2002 the studies, he founded his own studio \"Diez Office\". In 2008 he set up a studio \/ workshop in an old renovated carpentry, allowing it to have an ideal space for his experiments and technical know-how. Stephan Diez is supported and accompanied by a network of artisans and local specialists who transforms his ideas and creations into real products. From 2007 to 2014, he is a Professor of industrial design at the University of Arts and Design in Karlsruhe and then joined the school of design industrial of Lund in Sweden in 2015. With his team, Stephan Diez explores the broad spectrum of design \/ furniture, Arts of the Table, accessories, lamps, furniture storage, office... it creates for for great international brands: Rosenthal, E15, Emu, Thonet, Vibia, Wagner and Wilkhahn ...
