Stéphane Thidet

Stéphane Thidet was born in 1974, he graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2002 and from the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Rouen in 1996. This contemporary artist, plastic, French lives and works in Paris. His multiple créationl is expressed in sculpture and installation. The work of Stéphane Thidet, obscure and enchanting, offers diverted visions of reality. He associates in his media creations (sound, filmed image) and materials (natural elements that he tries to tame). His works carry you to a place elsewhere. His last instalation diversion invites us to the concierge where he makes the river enter more peacefully than during the flood of 1910 and controlled. He then relapsed the river into a waterfall inside, under the medieval vaults. The time of the intallion the river is domesticated.
