Elena Chernyshova

Elena Chernyshova, born in Russia, is a graduate of the Academy of Architecture. During these studies she deve loped a passion for this visual language. Self-taught pho tographer, she worked for two years as an architect, then decided to stop everything. She cycled the incredi ble Toulouse / Vladivostok / round trip expedition. She crosses 26 countries, for a journey of 30,000 kilometres, which represents 10,000 days of cultural experiences, human and stimulating encounters.

This trip transforms her, she decides to become a photo grapher. For her, photography is a way of studying the human soul, observing the daily lives of different commu nities, and also examining environmental, political and economic changes. Elena Chernyshova is a Russian docu mentary photographer. She works with National Geogra phic Russia, Geo and other magazines.
