This fruitful union between glass and style has continued to give outstanding results, as the recent selection of Diadema series, designed by Romani Saccani Architetti Associati, in the last ADI Design Index 2006, which also represents the entrance for the XXI edition of the "Golden Compass", the first and most authoritative European acknowledgment of the design sector. Pure lines, essential shapes and technical performances are the characteristics the trend and current collections of decorative lighting. The new Vistosi collections have also inspiration in revisiting the classics. The best example is the restyling of "Giogali", reinterpreted after forty successful years, by its own creator, Angelo Mangiarotti, in the 3D version, that has opened the way to new infinite compositions of glass and pure light. The investments on materials and process innovation are now more important than ever: the mirror finishing with silver applied to blown glass and the treatment with vapour of aluminium oxide, that gives a semi transparency to glass while keeping the reflection on the glass surface, are just two examples of millennial knowledge applied to a constant investigation supported by investments on materials and technology.
