The Indian Garden Company's collection of sun umbrellas and garden accessories are sourced from India and Indonesia and are inspired by traditional designs used for royal and religious festivals. The decorative umbrellas are hand-crafted by skilled artisans, whose families have been traditionally making these ceremonial umbrellas for centuries. We've found the best craftsmen and worked closely with them in adapting the designs to make them more practical for western climes and tastes. In the process we provide business opportunities to the artisans in these developing economies. Our aim is to add as much value to handmade products, through quality in design and making and bring to the global market the artistic talents of these traditional artisan communities. We are committed to sustainable development and we will pay a premium for local materials, encouraging complete processing within the community. We have our own sourcing offices in Bali, India and Thailand, where our experienced personnel manage the supply base, product development, quality control and export.
