Brissi

In 2001, Arianna Brissi opened her first eponymous interiors store in the beautiful Wiltshire town of Marlborough. Perhaps it was serendipity that brought Arianna and her friend Siobhan McKeating together for lunch in September 2004. While Arianna was enjoying country life, her desire to expand the business was becoming more pressing. Siobhan had recently left her legal career in Hong Kong and was looking for something new. Their mutual love of interior design and passion for travel was something they both shared and the subject of working together came up. From then, everything moved extremely quickly. Within weeks, they had secured the lease on a building on Notting Hill's renowned Westbourne Grove and begun the exhilarating process of renovating and redecorating. Careful consideration was given to keep the original features of the charming, characterful space and attention to detail became paramount. The overriding desire was to create a store that made customers feel at home - a place of beauty, luxury and serenity. Painstaking time was spent mixing paint for each individual room to create the look and finish that has become something of a Brissi trademark. With the design of the interior complete, the delightful task of filling their new home store began. Arianna and Siobhan personally sourced (and still do) every piece from specialist suppliers as well as developed exclusive designs with individual craftsmen in the UK and abroad. This resulted in a modern inimitable style where cool contemporary finds sit next to eclectic antique pieces. With their intuitive grasp of what makes a home special, Arianna and Siobhan created an intimate and profoundly inviting space. The last five years have been very busy for Brissi. April 2005 saw the opening of the Notting Hill store to an overwhelming response. In the summer of 2006, a second London store opened in the heart of Chelsea's Kings Road. In June 2007, Brissi opened their third store in London's West End, on Marylebone High Street. Three months later a fourth store followed in Richmond, Surrey. In 2007 Brissi has also became present on the world wide web by launching their website www.brissi.co.uk , a charming online extension of their elegant stores. The future looks exciting too. Brissi plans to continue opening more stores around the UK and to expand their signature ranges of beautiful products for the home.
