'With a fine-arts degree, Valérie Fortin worked for fifteen years in graphics and photo design. In 1999 she changed professional directions. Pottery had been a dream from when she was a little girl, she decided to learn the trade from Jean-Claude Vertongen in his studio to Ecouen (Val d'Oise). After a year of training, Valérie Fortin earned a trade degree in ceramic arts. Since then, She has been making ceramics in the purest tradition in my studio at Septentrion. These ceramics are displayed in the boutique adjoining my studio.
