This one-armed sconce will add style to any hall or staircase. Being large and designed to impress the piece's idea of form - with its large, protruding platform - goes back to historical examples which you will most probably not find any more in the manufacturer's workshops of today's Europe. There's a well-measured cubit between the round plate for the candle which - with its pin - is an ideal space for large thick candles and the wall holder. The wall holder is cast as a single piece and stretches out to the arm - a small but effective detail.The sand-cast bell bronze makes this sconce heavy and stable. The warm bronze shimmer comes from hand polishing this piece and the metal's grainy basic structure gives the candleholder just the right patina.
