Hand-made wooden piece of furniture

The ellipse is like a circle, with no beginning or end. The elliptical form indicates the eternal rotation of creation around the two fixed fires of the spirit and matter. The zodiac moves along this line, marking the sequence of the seasons of man. Gilt skulls symbolize the passage of time in the circle of life. Wooden table and mirror from the 1950s. The base, with original brass feet, is exquisitely painted in gold and black lacquer, and decorated with rows of tiny beads. The surface of the mirror, which is original, is etched with a zodiac decoration. Gilt skulls and fume glass beads illuminate the oval edge.
