This exceptional object is the result of a collective, human and participative project between a region, an association of craftsmen and the designer Thomas de Lussac. Born from the meeting of Thomas de Lussac with the famous cabinetmakers of Perchebois, the Racines carré table is above all a communion of four, between the tree, the forests of Perche, the excellence of local craftsmanship and the work of the designer.  Soil extraction with a crane from the untapped roots of the stump of a bicentennial oak tree, transport by tractor, then first cuts with a chainsaw . Numerous sanding operations and finally assembly, using ancestral and forgotten techniques such as "dovetailing", with a tray with a very contemporary design to reveal the aesthetic and symbolic potential of the tree. An eight-month adventure, the result of which is a unique, colossal and extraordinary piece.
