    Description

    A JAPANESE CARBINE (Bajou-Zutsu) A short light gun suitable for use on horse back. The iron barrel with half inch bore decorated in silver and gold nuome (overlay) with a design of dragons and clouds, fitted with a triangular fore-sight and a grooved block to the rear. The oak stock lacquered brown with gold lacquered karakusa (Chinese grass) on each side. Beside the breech is a gold lacquered hollyhock leaf mon (badge) of the Tokugawa or Matsudara families. Mounted with brass with an iron serpentine. Unsigned Kunitomo school. Item ref: 1023
