Artist Biography: Maria Salkin was a painter and draughtsman of portraits, figures, nudes and dancers. She was the mother of Belgian painter Emile Salkin (1900-1977). She worked and lived at the Old Abbey of Kortenberg, near Brussels. She exhibited her works at the "Exposition Universelle & Internationale de Bruxelles" in 1910 and also at the "Exposition des Beaux-Arts de Spa" in 1914.
