Description

This lamp comprises a half ball shaped lampshade with a 50 cm diameter on a cylindrical base. The top of the base ends in a cone connected to the shade by a very thin stem. When the lamp is turned on, the shade seems to float in the air. Its designer has been granted the Compasso d'oro award in 1979 for this lamp. A specimen belongs to the collection of the MoMA.
