A NORTH GERMAN FIELD ARMOUR, BRUNSWICK COMPRISING A CLOSE HELMET WITH ONE-PIEC

Comprising a close helmet with one-piece skull rising to a medial comb, forward-sloping visor pierced beneath a stepped and centrally divided vision-slit with multiple ventilation-holes arranged in three rows, prow-shaped upper bevor pierced with multiple ventilation-holes, bevor and two gorget-plates front and rear, the visor, upper bevor and bevor attached to the skull by common pivots, restored and secured to one another at the right side by spring-catches; collar of four lames front and rear; breast-plate with line engraved decoration, moveable gussets at the arm-openings, fauld of two lames cut with a shallow arch at the centre of its lower edge; long tassets each suspended on three straps, formed of nine lames, separable between the fifth and sixth; one-piece back-plate with culet of one lame; symmetrical spaulders each of nine lames: the armour decorated throughout with finely roped edges, brass rosette washers, sixty two original, one hundred and eighty two restored, and with b
