OCOCO FRAME WITH STUCCO ORNAMENT OF LEAF AND FLOWER ON A PUNCHED GOLD GROUND B

Venetian circa 1745 rococo frame with stucco ornament of leaf and flower on a punched gold ground between a cartouche and centre and corner ornaments and with pierced scrolling volute crest ornament infilled with lattice work and surrounding a pair of gryphons. At the base a grotesque mask supported by scrolling volutes. The frame retains the original gilding.
