VERY FINE CARVED MAHOGANY COMMODE WITH EGYPTIAN MARBLE TOP

The oblong Egyptian marble top above a conforming case of highly figured mahogany with a knife edge molding above two short drawers each with a central brass escutcheon keyhole, above a pair of paneled cabinet doors with acanthus-carved spandrels, flanked by lotus-carved scrolled pilasters and opening to discrete cabinets each divided by a single shelf (shelf missing on one side), on a molded base. The initials F.G.S. are stenciled in large black letters on the top under the marble.
