VERY FINE PARCEL-GILT MAHOGANY LYRE-BASE GAMES TAB

The oblong, cross banded pivoting top with canted corners and bolection molded brass edges opening to a patterned paper lined well and a baize playing surface, the frieze of highly figured mahogany with a brass string inlaid ebony molding along the bottom edge of the frieze, above a crossed lyre pedestal with brass strings and carved and gilded ?tuning keys? and a carved and gilded acanthus base on a paneled plinth with down-swept saber legs terminating in brass animal paw feet with caster wheels.
