Gaetano Pesce

Born November 2, 1939, in La Spezia (Italy).Teenager Pesce is fascinated by surrealism, specially by Dali and Duchamp. 20 Years, in response to the informal Art, he founded the Group N. He worked as an independent artist in Padua. He left the group in 1961. In 1964, he met Cesare Cassina who becomes a kind of father to Pesce. Diploma of architecture and industrial design in 1965 in Venice. His teachers included Carlo Scarpa, Mario Bellini and Ernesto Rogers. He became one of the leaders of the Radical Design, movement, experimenting with new materials. Live some time Helsinki (Finland) and then Paris lives and works in New York since 1980.Ses are exhibited permanently in many museums of contemporary art as the MoMa (NY), Metropolitan Museum (NY), Victoria & Albert Museum (London), Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and Montreal, the Museum of Art National Moderne du Centre Pompidou in Paris.
