Janske Megens

Janske Megens has graduated in 2004 her studies on the department 3D Design on ArtEz in Arnhem with a hand made bags collection. Currently Janske Megens has a studio close to Nijmegen where she works as independent entrepreneur on her bags and shoe collection, her fair trade collection from Nepal and as freelance designer for other companies. She has already presented her work on a number of successful exhibitions and fairs in the Netherlands and in foreign countries such as: Tendence in Frankfurt, Maison et Objet in Paris, Interior Life in Las Vegas, 100% Design in Rotterdam etc. Since 2009 Janske has next to her women and men bags collection as well a collection shoes for men. The bags and shoes are made of high quality of leather. Refined details, graphic laser-engravings, bright colors inside are characteristic in these collections. The bags and shoes carry the name: Mr. James (JA = Janske, MES= Megens) In 2007 Janske started a new collection interior products, accessories and jewellery produced by (mainly) women on fair trade basis in Nepal. These design products are made for Western countries with the hand made techniques the woman have mastered in Nepal. The products are not dusty, but trendy and up to date!
