Carré and it's sister brand Capron are part of the French group "les Jolies Céramiques" i.e. "Fine ceramics", the purpose of which is to perpetuate the multisecular French tradition and know how in ceramic tiles. Emaux de Briare the worldwide known manufacturer for over 150 years of solid enamel mosaics also belongs to this group, as well as Aurum Ceramics, specialized in metallic coatings on ceramic products. Carré thus continues to produce high quality traditional hand decorated tiles whilst working with more fashionable designers from different cultures, however always keeping it's personal touch.
